What is the average penis size in inches?

The average erect penis is 5.16 inches (13.12 cm) long and 4.59 inches (11.66 cm) around. That comes from Veale et al. 2015 in BJU International, which pooled clinician measurements of 15,521 men — the largest dataset we have. The median length is 5.2 inches (13.1 cm), and about 90% of men land between 4.1 and 6.2 inches (10.4–15.9 cm) erect.

Length isn’t the only number. Flaccid averages 3.6 inches (9.16 cm), stretched 5.21 inches (13.24 cm), and a 5-inch girth already sits near the 83rd percentile — thickness moves faster up the scale than people expect.

One caveat on the headline number: ignore those color-coded “average by country” maps. They run on self-reported figures, and men round up.
