A penis in the top 1% is about 17.0 cm (6.7 inches) erect or longer — that's the 99th percentile in the largest clinician-measured study. In inch terms, roughly 7 inches puts you near the top 0.3% (about 1 in 400 men).
Clear the 99th percentile and you need roughly 17.0 cm (6.7 inches) erect or more. That figure comes from Veale et al. (2015, BJU International), which measured 15,521 men in clinical settings — the largest dataset of its kind. The average there is 13.12 cm (5.16 in), so the top 1% sits nearly four centimetres past typical.
In whole inches, the tail thins out fast: 6 inches is already 90th percentile (1 in 10), 6.5 inches is around 98th (1 in 50), 7 inches is 99.7th (1 in 400), and 8 inches turns up less than once in 10,000 men. “Top 1%” lands between 6.5 and 7 inches, closer to 6.7.
Length is only one axis. Average erect girth is 11.66 cm (4.59 in), and a 5-inch (12.7 cm) circumference is already around the 83rd percentile — genuinely thick. A man can be top-percentile on girth and middling on length, or the reverse, so a single “top 1% size” is a bit of a fiction.
